Fylakta made from wax from The Holy Sepulchre:

In November of 2019, Father George and members of the Greek Orthodox Community embarked on a pilgrimage to Jerusalem. While visiting the site of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre located in the Christian Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem.  The Church of the Holy Sepulchre is built on two of the holiest sites in Christianity. The site of the crucifixion and the empty tomb from where Christ resurrected.  Father George was blessed to receive wax which seals the door of the Holy Sepulchre.  The door which the Patriarch steps through to receive the Holy Light during Easter.  It is with this blessed wax a limited number of "Fylakta" were made and are available with a $20 donation to Saint Markella Greek Orthodox Church to help support our parish during these very difficult times.  For the donation, please click the donate button below or please contact the church office at (516) 783-5760 for more information.
